Annual events, weekday programs, and ongoing activities increase awareness of your ministry, develop entry points for new families and volunteers, fulfill needs, and deepen relationships. There are hundreds of great ideas, yet your resources are limited, so add them to your ministry wisely, stay on track, make planning as easy as possible, and manage them well.

Stay on track.

  • Define objectives for each activity that align with your ministry goals.
  • Identify your strengths regarding space, volunteers, and budget.
  • Write guides that share the events purpose and guidlines for parents and volunteers.

Make it easy.

  • Add sensory-friendly options to church-wide events.
  • Adopt community events by offering space and support or attend them as a group.
  • Seek advice and tips from others who have planned similar events. Contact us.

Manage well.

  • Consider waiting pools, participant requirements, and charging fees.
  • Give volunteers and students roles to run ongoing activities.
  • Grow at a managed pace, review and make adjustments often, and end when necessary.
