Attend Meetings

Interacting with those with disabilities can be intimidating and confusing. What should we say, not say, do, and not do? Don't let fears keep your church from serving and building friendships with a person who has a disability. Join us as we explore and experience the challenges faced daily by those with special needs. We'll review common etiquette principles that build mutual respect and share ways to make real connections. 

Wednesday, March 25 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Christ Fellowship in Mansfield, TX and on Zoom. 

Volunteers are the strength of our ministry. Recruiting, training, and retaining them require time and energy, but it doesn't have to feel overwhelming. Join us as we learn a practical, achievable process that yields a strong, mature team. We'll discuss unique ways to find new volunteers, fun ways to train and motivate, and nurturing ways to create commitments that last.

Thursday, March 26 at 12:30 p.m. on Zoom and on-site at Hill Country Bible Church in Austin (lunch served.)    

Our churches should be a place where everyone loves to attend. Join us as we learn how to transform any space into an enjoyable and comfortable environment for learning about Jesus. We'll brainstorm ideas to make inclusion programs thrive and share the tools and equipment we rely on to run smoothly and safely.

Join us as we review and pray for the many upcoming events and programs in our churches and across the Austin area. We'll discuss how these activities meet our families' needs and help us reach those who need a church home. We'll also cast a clear vision for our network of churches to help other churches start and strengthen special-needs ministries.

Clear communication leads to strong relationships and happy students. Those with special needs express themselves in unique ways, so we need to listen differently and respond effectively. Learn a bit about the many languages, especially "spelling." 

May 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Irving Bible Church and on Zoom.

Annual events, weekday programs, and ongoing activities increase awareness of your ministry, develop entry points for new families and volunteers, fulfill needs, and deepen relationships. Join us as we explore the many ideas and how to choose the right ones for your ministry. Plus, we'll share ideas to make planning as easy as possible, and how to manage them well.

September 24 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Forney, and on Zoom.

Join us to learn what you need to start ministry and what you can add as you grow. We'll review and share samples of guides, forms, tools, and supplies that make your operation run smoothly. Plus, we'll help you align your team and streamline tasks to save time, money, and energy. 

October 28 from 10 to 11:30am on Zoom and on-site at Mansfield Methodist Church and on Zoom.
