We'll learn to better understand behaviors, prepare our environment to reduce triggers, use effective tools, and teach everyone to respond positively and effectively. Shannon oversees the special needs ministry at Irving Bible Church. For years, she has taught church leaders how to help every child exhibit their best behavior. 

Jan.  29th from 10:30 a.m. to Noon on Zoom.

Knowing the reasons we serve those with special needs is the foundation for all we do. Sharing "the why" encourages leaders to support our efforts, motivates volunteers, and pulls us through tough times. Some reasons are personal, others are practical, and the most important are rooted in scripture.  Laura Roodenburg, Ministry Relations Manager at Joni and Friends, will help us refresh and recharge with inspiring stories, interesting facts, and Biblical direction.

Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Mosaic Church (North Austin, TX)  and on Zoom.

We rely on the Holy Spirit to bring students to faith in Jesus, and press on to teach the gospel even when the class is chaotic, attendance is low, and you don't see those "Aha, I get it" moments. Join us as we share resources, ideas to teach creatively, ways to adapt curriculum, and discuss guiding students through faith milestones.

Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to Noon at Kingsland Central and Woodlands Church (Woodlands Campus) and on Zoom.

Good manners are always in style, but they can be confusing. What should we say, not say, do, and not do when we are with those with special needs? Let's get together and review common guidelines and share tips we've learned. You'll leave with more confidence to train others to interact and serve those with disabilities well.

March 25 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Christ Fellowship Mansfield, TX and on Zoom. 

We'll discuss self-contained classrooms, inclusion programs, and everything that makes them work well. We'll review locations, layouts, features, tools, equipment, and ideas for all ages: children, teens, and adults.
